Lii2008 Supported By

The Indian Society of Lighting Engineers (ISLE) is organizing its sixth International Exhibition and Conference on Lighting Technology from February 22 to 25, 2008. Almost all the leading National and International lighting companies have participated in these exhibitions. In fact, the ISLE organized exhibitions have been used by several International lighting companies to launch themselves in the Indian market – GE, Osram, Thorn ATCO, Vossloh Schwabe, Gewiss, Nordex etc.

The Indian Lighting Industry has consistently had a double digit growth over the last three years and this is expected to exceed the present 12% per year level in the years ahead. India has one of the fastest economic growth rates in the world and the government is investing heavily in infrastructure development resulting in a positive effect on the sales potential of lighting products and services.

With the 2010 Commonwealth Games, ambitious plans for beautification and road illumination are underway as are plans for renovating and constructing the stadiums needed for this event. There is a huge expansion in Delhi as well as many other parts of the country in the retail and hospitality sectors.

The government has a serious interest in the upgradation of lighting installations since this is directly linked to efficiency and energy issues. Evidence of this is the support that the Lii2008 exhibition has from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency of the Ministry of Power.

The ISLE exhibitions are well known for the high level delegations of decision makers from the different government departments as well as specifiers from the private sector. Lii2005 had 7733 business visitors and 200,000 visitors from the general public.

The reduction in import duties has enabled international products to compete and sell on the same counter as domestic products. Whether you are looking for an efficient dealer and distribution network, or an opportunity to meet the decision makers and specifiers for lighting, or whether you wish to source Indian lighting products for export taking advantage of the competitive pricing (especially where small series of production and labour inputs are involved) the Light India Exhibition provides an ideal opportunity for you to meet the entire lighting industry in India and present your company to them.

Opportunities
  • Enter the Indian market and access a well established and comprehensive dealer and distribution network
  • Tie up with Indian companies for Agency arrangements, Joint Ventures or Collaborations
  • Supply Plant and machinery, Process Control Equipment and Services to the Indian lighting companies
  • Showcase the latest product and technologies to the largest buyers and specifiers in the growing 1000 million dollar Indian Lighting Market
  • Source competitive products from Indian manufacturers especially small specialized series

The Exhibition is being held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi’s international trade fair ground in the heart of the city. It will be spread across the air-conditioned Halls 7 ABC, D, E, FGH.
